Your Mental Health Matters
At PET-Xi, we understand that learning and working can sometimes feel overwhelming. That’s why we’ve partnered with Maximus UK to offer free, confidential mental health support to learners who are in employment. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, low mood, or other challenges, you can access one-to-one support from trained mental health professionals. This service is flexible, tailored to your needs, and designed to help you stay confident and focused throughout your learning journey.
Support That Works Around You
The Access to Work Mental Health Support Service, delivered by Maximus UK, is available to anyone in paid employment who is struggling with their mental health. You don’t need a formal diagnosis to access help. The support includes up to nine months of personalised guidance, practical advice, and help with workplace adjustments. It’s completely free and doesn’t affect any benefits you may be receiving. If you’re unsure whether you qualify, we can help you check your eligibility and guide you through the referral process.
Access to Work: Practical Help for Your Success
In addition to mental health support, the government’s Access to Work scheme offers funding for practical support if you have a disability or a physical or mental health condition. This could include specialist equipment, travel support, or a support worker to help you succeed in your role or training. Mental Health & Wellbeing Support for Learners
At PET-Xi, we know that a clear and focused mind is key to successful learning. That’s why we offer dedicated mental health and wellbeing support to learners enrolled on our programmes. If you’re finding it hard to concentrate, stay motivated, or engage with your course, you’re not alone—and support is available.
Removing Barriers to Learning
Mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or low self-esteem can make studying feel overwhelming. These issues can affect your ability to retain information, participate in group sessions, manage your time, and attend regularly. Our Working Minds support package is designed to help reduce these barriers so you can get the most out of your learning experience.
One-to-One Support That Works for You
You’ll receive a 6-session support package, delivered through weekly one-hour sessions with a dedicated practitioner. These sessions combine counselling, coaching, and therapeutic support tailored to your needs. We also offer signposting to local services such as GPs, CRUSE, StepChange, and community support. Best of all, you can usually start within two weeks of referral—no long waiting lists.
