If your role is applicable, the successful applicant will be required to provide satisfactory references and prove their eligibility to work in the UK. Depending on your role, we may also need to carry out a DBS check.

Care Leavers

PET-XI Training Limited has a dedicated a number of initiatives to support to care leavers and have signed up o the Care Leavers Covenant.

Offer

  1. Work placements: during the placement you will learn about different roles within the company and work alongside a wide range of people in different areas.
  2. Guaranteed interview scheme: If you are a care leaver and meet the minimum requirements for a role, we are advertising, you will be offered an interview under the scheme. In addition, we can make reasonable adjustments to support you with the process.
  3. Support: The HR Team can provide advice and support around, CV/application writing, covering letters and preparation for interviews.
  4. Courses: Subject to eligibility and funding, you can enrol on a course we provide. Further details on what courses we offer, are listed on our website.

What is a care leaver?

A care leaver is defined as someone who has previously lived with foster parents, in a children’s home, orphanage, or sheltered accommodation. The Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 specifically defines a care leaver as someone who has been in the care of the Local Authority for a period of 13 weeks or more spanning their 16th birthday.
