Ashley’s journey is a testament to the power of resilience, determination, and the right support. After serving time in prison, he was released with nothing, no home, no bank account, no ID, and no clear path forward.
The odds were stacked against him, but he refused to give up. With the support of PET-Xi Training and the Restart Programme, Ashley began the long road to rebuilding his life. The first step was regaining the basic necessities, necessities that we all take for granted.
PET-Xi’s Restart team helped him open a bank account, giving him access to financial stability for the first time. Plus, they also assisted him in obtaining a passport, an essential step toward securing housing and employment.
“The biggest breakthrough came when we secured Ashley his first home. Having a stable place to live provided him with the foundation to focus on his future with confidence. No longer worrying about where he would sleep, Ashley could finally shift his attention to building a career. Now, he is taking the final step toward full independence and is applying for warehouse FLT positions.”
