The Coventry & Warwickshire Skills 4 Growth project has recently been launched to deliver customised support to businesses to address their skills needs and gaps, and support business growth.
Skills 4 Growth
The project will support over 1,700 participants to achieve basic skills qualifications, qualifications or units of qualifications at level 2 or below or units of qualifications at level 3 or above.
Courses Include
- Level 2 Microsoft Excel
- IT Security for Users
- Level 2 Award in Introduction to First Aid for Mental Health
- Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young Adults
- Level 3 Award in Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace for Managers
The project can fund 50% of the costs of agreed training. To qualify for support, companies must employ no more than 250 people, have a registered address in the Coventry and Warwickshire area and be registered as a company working in the Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Sector or Service Sector Industries including Health and Social Work and Transportation and Storage.
The project is managed by Coventry City Council.
The Council is working in partnership with Warwickshire County Council and the Coventry & Warwickshire Growth Hub, alongside specialist training providers to deliver accredited training ranging from leadership and management through to technical and soft skills.
