PET-Xi is building on our success working with learners that need the most help and in light of the green paper and an ever-increasing need. The focus is to provide a full-time, in-school, appropriate learning environment for these learners where they will be working with credible and engaging PET-Xi trained professionals.
We offer a blend of core subjects (Maths, English, and Science) along with vocational learning and built in progress testing. Our AP approach is to keep learners in school instead of sending to off-site provision with an aim of reduced exclusions, improved results, increased attendance, attitude, and behavioural change.
Research published by the Education Policy Institute (EPI) shows that the attainment gap between poorer pupils and their peers has widened across all educational phases since 2019.

This is the PET-Xi full on GCSE programme and we can deliver the whole programme or selected elements on a Topic Focus model.
People with skills in statistics can more easily extract meaning from data – this makes them better-informed and more competent decision-makers. Studying GCSE statistics expands learners’ mathematical knowledge and skills in understanding, analysing and presenting data – and there is an extensive overlap of learning for GCSE Mathematics and GCSE Statistics.
We have recently delivered Stats in a school to the whole of their KS4 because of the benefits in data and skillset for Geography and Science.

This is our flagship programme for Maths, English, and Science. 5-days of exciting, engaging, -motivational intervention for a group of 20-30 learners. This programme carries PET-Xi’s exceptional 70% up a grade impact promise.
The programme includes a pre-exam for learner selection and content focus that takes place before the High 5 week. This can be either a mock exam you have set up yourself or we can run one specific for the purpose.
According to data published in Schools Weekly’s January 2024 report, pass rates for Maths and English resit exams remain below pre-pandemic levels. Specifically, the number of students required to retake Maths exams after initial failure increased by 23% compared to pre-pandemic figures. For English, the percentage rise was even higher at 37%.
These statistics indicate that students continue to struggle with core competency in numeracy and literacy. Targeted support and -interventions are necessary to ensure students can gain -essential Maths and English proficiency.
