I am an enthusiastic and motivational fully qualified Secondary School Teacher (PGCE) with over 20 years of experience in teaching Maths and Science, as well as some IT related subjects. I have taught in numerous Primary and Secondary schools all around the UK, helping thousands of students with ranging abilities to prepare for their SATs and GCSEs examinations.

My aim and number one goal in the classroom, is to see each and every learner achieves above and beyond their predicted grade, in order to surpass their dreams in life. Teaching has been my passion since an early age. It is that split second in the classroom when I realise a student has suddenly understood a new or difficult concept, which gives me that buzz and feeling of pride and inspires me to continue teaching for many more years.

Hello, my name is Nisha! I have been teaching mathematics for over 4 years now, to primary and secondary students in schools in London and the Midlands. Mathematics has always been a great passion for me, I graduated with a first class degree in Mathematics at Sheffield Hallam University, worked full time as an analyst in the big city and then decided I wanted to teach Maths as this was my true passion.

I am a fully qualified teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics and tutor children so they are ready for their SATS or GCSE’s! I love finding new ways of teaching through songs, rhymes and games, a lesson with me will never be dull!

Hello. I’m Robert, an English and Maths teacher at PET Xi. I have over 15 year’s experience in teaching and honestly, I have enjoyed every minute! I love to inspire, motivate and encourage everyone to make sure that they get the results they deserve after working so hard.

I have a PGCE and I am an examiner for GCSE English, so I know what is needed!. I have been teaching online for the past three months so don’t for a second think the lessons will be boring. Oh no!

I have plenty of experience with Year 6-11, SATs, 11+, Functional Skills, GCSE English and maths and English as a Second Language. I know the techniques and tricks to impress the examiner. I have a fun-loving approach to teaching but always focus on how you can get those extra marks.

Learning is fun with results. I’ll show you how.

Hello everyone and welcome to my video. My name is Charles and I’ve been working for PET-Xi for 6 years teaching all subjects from Maths to English to Computers to Science as a Support, Lead and Expert. What drives me is when you get students who say ‘Oh Sir I can’t do this, I can’t do this’ to within a couple of days they say, ‘Oo I can do it, I can do this’. Which gives me the drive, the passion to go forth and do more for people. I love helping people this way. Previous to that I have been working as a TEFL teacher, which is teaching English as a Foreign Language both in Spain, Poland, Czech Republic and China. I hope to see you on one of my courses. Have a lovely day and goodbye for now.

Hi. My name is Danny Hurst and I have been working for PET XI for just over two years. I am currently doing my Masters in History with the Open University, having recently completed a BA Hons in the same subject with them.

I trained as an actor at Mountview Theatre School and have taught drama at GCSE, A Level and BTEC for several years despite not having a PGCE, as well as having many years experience teaching English to foreign students. I also have experience delivering accelerated learning workshops in secondary schools and Sixth form colleges across the UK.  My experience includes being a private tutor in English.  Other subjects taught include  Guitar and Spanish speaking.

Having worked in some of the most challenging schools in Britain and have an excellent success rate. I find it extremely rewarding to see my students succeeding as I myself was a disengaged teenager and realise how important it is to have a force for good influencing young minds. It is a great feeling to be part of that force.

Two enthusiastic teachers ignited my passion for Geography, and with their support and encouragement I went on to pursue this fascinating subject at university. I hold a BA (Hons) and Masters by Research in Geography from the University of Birmingham, and I am currently completing a PhD in Environmental Planning at the University of Gloucestershire.

I have been writing and delivering Geography courses with PET-Xi for 4 years, using the enthusiasm for the subject my own teachers passed on to me to help students reach and improve on their target GCSE grades. Seeing our learners grow in confidence and achieving their goals throughout each course is fantastic, and this is something I’m looking forward to delivering on a one to one basis as a tutor too! Having written over 35 bespoke revision courses, I am familiar with all current GCSE specifications and I am confident in tutoring across all areas of the discipline from KS3 to A-Level.

Alongside my work as a Geography expert, I also have experience of supporting PET-Xi English, Maths and French courses and would be happy to tutor these subjects at Primary and KS3 level.

Whatever subject we work on together, I would be happy to create a personalised tutoring timetable focusing on the content you would like to cover, in a learning style which suits you. Please do get in touch to discuss your tutoring needs – I would be delighted to help!

I am a very enthusiastic English tutor who always strives to enable my learners to achieve the best that they can from any learning experience. I help my learners to find out more about themselves and improve their self-esteem and confidence in the subject that I am teaching.

Following my first career in the travel industry, my teaching experience includes working in colleges of Further Education teaching Travel and Tourism as well as Literacy and Numeracy Functional Skills and Key Skills. I have also worked with learners of all ages to improve their soft skills and make them ready for the world of work, preparing their C.V.s, applying for vacancies and preparing for interviews.

I have worked with Pet-xi teaching English and Mathematics GCSE for the last four years. This has been an exhilarating experience. Our learners achieve their full potential through stimulating learning and resources and realise that the most effective learning can be fun and different!

My name is Ruth Lewis and I have had five years teaching English and mathematics in an international secondary school and also classes for adults. I also substitute teachers as a cover supervisor for local GCSE classes. I have five years of experience planning and delivering topical environmental themed workshops to different audiences as well as teachers (train the trainers). I have been with PET-Xi for more than two years, in which we deliver the materials in an engaging way, helping learners to achieve their goals.

An energetic, hard-working trainer, reliable but also fun educator – I love music, dance and pyromusicals. My aim is to get the students motivated, feel engaged and enabled, and inclusive in this modern and sometimes unforgiving world

My motto is that, `Everyone is born with a natural gift. Just because it has not been discovered yet doesn’t mean it isn’t there. All a person requires for learning is for someone to have `Faith’ in them. If we strive to leave a lasting legacy then shouldn’t it be when someone carries throughout their lives your words of encouragement and inspiration. Most people remember someone who gave them hope in their worst moments. What greater reward can there be when they recall your words? A seed planted in youth can grow to become something special later in life.

I have considerable experience of working with children and young people since leaving school. This includes 1-to-1 and remotely which has enabled me to accumulate an extensive variety of valuable resources individually adapted for each student. I have a 2.1 BA (Hons), Cert Ed and City & Guilds (6318) Level 4 Award in Learning and Development.

As my passion is writing, I teach English from Year 2 to GCSE and proofreading for dissertations.

A former exploration geologist in the gold fields of South America, I decided to retrain and work in education when my two sons came along, and I now have over 16 years of experience across several educational settings from Primary schools to Vocational colleges.

My first roles were supporting all levels of learners in Science and Maths, often in small groups or through one-to-one tutoring sessions within schools. Through this I earned a place on the Graduate Teacher Programme and gained QTS in 2011, going on to teach Science, Maths and Geography up to KS5 and was Lead teacher for Gifted Students in Science at a large secondary school in Sheffield.

Since joining PET-XI two and a half years ago, I have helped over 2000 learners look and reach beyond their own expectations and look forward to helping you.
