PET-Xi Training launched its brand new interactive social media campaign this Friday: PowerUp Live!
Streaming to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, and Twitter simultaneously in one big multicast, PET-Xi trainers went through core topics in intensive, interactive sessions with schools, teachers, and independent learners.
In the morning, PowerUp Live! began with an hour and a half intensive Maths session, specialising in fractions and solving problems that are likely to appear in the GCSE paper. Maths Expert Gavin ran the course through an interactive presentation that encouraged learners to voice their answers and show their working.
In the afternoon, PowerUp Live! continued with an hour and a half of intensive English Literature session, focusing on identifying what makes literature compelling and how learners can use those same elements in their own writing. English Expert Bob helped learners recognise that English has no wrong answers so long as you can explain why, encouraging learners to come up with their own interpretations to text.
On both courses, learners interacted through various social media platforms to give answers, ask questions, take polls, and make comments on what was happening in the livestream for the tutors to read and respond to.
Throughout the launch, PET-Xi’s social media pages gained new attention and new followers across the platforms, whilst providing free education to those in need of help during this time of crisis and quarantine.
With the success of the launch, PET-Xi are hoping to do this Live! service on a weekly basis to help all young learners during lockdown.
Be sure to keep an eye out to PET-Xi social media for updates about when future PowerUp Live! streams will be broadcast!
