Linear Thinking – Master straight-line equations that predict trends and outcomes
Did you know that every straight line can be described by a simple equation? This course helps you make sense of linear equations and what they tell us about lines on a graph. You’ll learn to identify important features from equations and write equations for lines yourself. Develop the ability to spot the gradient (steepness) and y-intercept (where the line crosses the y-axis) from a line’s equation (y = mx + c). This skill will help you answer many GCSE questions confidently. Create equations for straight lines when given information about them, connecting the visual world of graphs with the algebraic world of equations.
This course is suitable for learners following these boards and specifications: Edexcel 1MA1, AQA 8300, OCR J560, Eduqas C300U10-1, WJEC 3300U10-1
This course is suitable for Foundation Tier Learners, who are aiming to achieve at least a Grade 4 in their Maths GCSE.
