My sincerest apologies for neglecting you over the last couple of months. You were always in the back of my mind niggling like the little pebble stuck between my toes in my comfy UGG boots… I’ve finally found the time to free myself from the complexities of course moderation deadlines, progressions, young people going AWOL and drowning my sorrows in jammy doughnuts as my waistline slowly increases in the run up towards Christmas!
So, kicking off with a warm if slightly delayed welcome to the new addition of our Sheffield Team, the lovely and tiny bit dragon-like-scary Kate Poole. Sheffield courses will be running like a well-oiled machine and Gary will be able to exhale and slowly recline his seat, just watch you don’t go too far back!
As I’m sure some of you are well aware, PET-Xi are launching their new maths app later this year and managed to sign up a staggering amount of young learners at The Skills Show which took place at the NEC Birmingham earlier this month. All staff thoroughly enjoyed themselves however, note to Bryn – please advise us ladies to wear appropriate footwear next year! Check out the pic of Kate having a ride below and Andy the Graffiti artist on our stall…
Scott, myself and Jamie are still delivering the employability and volunteering courses. We are slowly winding down for Crimbo and looking forward to the first ever Sheffield Christmas Paaaaaaaaaaaartay! With that in mind, Santa will be making a secret guest appearance and bringing interesting little stocking filler goodies this year… I am NOT looking forward to mine.
That said, I hope I have wet your appetite slightly and look forward to bringing you more northern gossip in a couple of weeks!
